Candle Care
Lighting Your Candle
-
Before lighting your candle on the next burn, trim the wooden wick to about 1/4 inch in length to prevent re-burning already used portions of the wood wick.
-
Use a long match or lighter, and slightly tilt your candle and light at the corner of the wooden wick to get your first burn started.
-
Allow the entire surface of the wax to melt during each burn session. This is called a melt pool, and it helps prevent tunneling and ensures an even fragrance distribution.
-
Keep your candle away from drafty areas or open windows as this can cause uneven burning and affect sound quality.
Removing Crystals
-
Remove large crystals before burning. Gently scoop it out with a spoon and rinse crystals in warm soapy water.
-
At the end of the candle scoop out the small crystals and rinse them as well with warm soapy water.
